The Haunting Of Hill House (2018): Series Review

The Haunting of Hill House (2018) is a perfect entwinement of horror and psychology.  Some horror stories beg the question – Is there more to mental illness? The Netflix series, The Haunting of Hill House presents us a story that makes us ask this in a sensible and effective manner. There is so much about this world we don’t understand. This show offers us an understanding of the ‘preternatural’ elements of our reality.

The series introduces us to a complicated family and beautifully displays the stories of each character in detail. It is a horror story that shows the emotional and psychological roller coaster each family member has to live through. It has great horror elements, without overdoing them so it stays compelling. The dialogue and direction are amazing, providing us with each secret at a time.

There is not a single dull moment in The Haunting of Hill House. It is certainly one of the best Netflix has to offer. In the end, we feel, maybe we don’t know everything after all.
